Software delivery advisory

Someone to think out loud with, who has nothing to protect.

A standing conversation for leaders with software delivery decisions to make. Bring me the date, the vendor, the hire or the plan. I'll tell you what I'd push on, and what I'd leave alone.

Free. You tell me what's going on, and we decide together whether I can help. Prefer to read first? Read it as a deck.

Illustrative example. Not a real client's.

For leaders who make the call and want a second set of eyes.

  • A CEO or CTO about to commit to a date, in a building where saying no isn't an option.
  • An operating partner with several portfolio companies and no time to get close to any one of them.
  • A founder who wants to talk through a hire, a vendor or a plan with someone outside the politics.
  • Anyone counting on an AI productivity gain who wants each one marked measured or hoped.

Probably not for you if

  • You want someone to do the work, not just look at it. That's fractional leadership.
  • You want me to talk to your team. That's a Reality Check.
  • You're looking for a rubber stamp. I'll tell you what I'd push on.

A standing conversation, kept small.

We agree a regular time, usually monthly. In between, you can send me a question, a draft plan or a contract, and I'll answer straight. I work only from what you tell me and show me. I don't talk to your team, and I don't run anything.

That's the point. You get an outside view without a project, a team to manage, or anyone to impress.

I'll tell you when you need more than advice.

Two things would take us past advisory. If you want me to talk to your people and find out what's true, that's a Reality Check. If you want me to own the plan, that's fractional leadership. I'll say so when I think we're there. I won't let advice quietly turn into a project.

The questions people ask first.

What does it cost?

A fixed monthly fee, agreed in writing before we start. It depends on how much access you want.

What do I send?

Whatever you have: a draft plan, a contract, a status report, or just the question. Rough is fine.

What happens when you book

  1. We talk for 20 minutes. It's free. You tell me what you're deciding.
  2. I send a fee in writing. A fixed monthly fee, before we start, if a standing conversation would help.
  3. You decide. If it's yes, we agree how you'll reach me and when we talk.

Who you'd be talking to

I'm Badri S. For several years I led the group that reviewed estimates on large deals, so I've spent a long time asking what a date, a vendor's claim or a plan is actually standing on. That's most of what advisory is. Before that, more than twenty years in delivery, from project manager to portfolio lead. Independent since 2026.
